Some songs take a lot of time and thought to write. Others just seem to
come bouncing right off the wall. Mary Lou was like that. It just started
coming. My wife and I were working in Ocean City and before the job was
through I had the lyrics in mind. It’s a Blue Grass style song that relates the
frustrating feelings of a guy trying hard to come up with a way to win the
heart of his girl. This one has a happy ending because he finally figures it out.
